If you’re looking for a healthy snack that is crunchy, flavorful, and perfect alongside a sandwich, these chips are it.
They’re also super easy to make if you have two heavy baking sheets that are the same size. You’ll slice your potatoes, lay them on a parchment lined sheet, drizzle with Ava Jane’s Kitchen Avocado Oil and then lay another piece of parchment on top. Press the sheet pan down and bake.
When done, season with Ava Jane’s Kitchen Sayulita Steak and Veg seasoning, which is a hearty and spicy blend that is a perfect match for sweet potatoes.
You’ll probably eat these all right away, but if you have some left, you can store them in an airtight container. They will definitely taste best when fresh though.
Makes 2 cups
Prep time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
2 sweet potatoes
Ava Jane’s Kitchen Avocado Oil
Ava Jane’s Kitchen Sayulita Steak and Veg Spice Blend
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Slice the potatoes using a mandolin slicer about 1/8 inch thick.
Line a baking sheet with parchment and spread the potatoes in a single layer. Drizzle with oil.
Lay another sheet of parchment over top, and put a baking sheet on top of that.
Bake for 15 minutes. Check to see if the potatoes are crisp. If not, leave the top pan off, but keep an eye on the potatoes.
Continue baking until the edges start to curl up. Remove, and immediately sprinkle with the seasoning.
Let cool until crispy and serve.
