I’m all for trying new recipes in most circumstances, except one.
If I’m hosting a gathering or party, I stick to tried and true recipes. You know the ones I’m talking about — the ones everyone always raves about and are so easy that they are difficult to mess up.
This is especially true when it comes to the main dish. And in the case of barbecue season, this usually means whatever is on the grill.
Burgers and hot dogs are an easy choice for grilling out, but I like to give folks another option if possible. Chicken, seafood, or steaks if you’re feeling it. Luckily, this marinade works for all of those, and is truly impossible to mess up. If you can throw stuff in a jar and shake, you’re golden here.
It’s sweet and slightly smoky, with a hint of spice and tang. It hits all the notes, and is sure to leave guests wondering what you did to make that chicken so so good.
This recipe is good for about 2 pounds of meat, but easily scales up for a bigger crowd. It also works nicely for veggies if you want something delish to go along with your burgers.
