If you like dessert (hello!) but don’t want to eat a lot of it, it can be a miracle when one comes around that is actually healthy. If it’s easy and can be made into a single serving? Sign me up.
This pear recipe is just that. It tastes just like fall, and is a nice contrast to all the berry, cherry, peach things you have been eating all summer. It’s warm and inviting, and sweet and spicy in all the right ways. It also requires little more than halving, scooping, and baking a pear.
The flavor from this comes from two main things — Ava Jane’s Kitchen Pumpkin Pie Spice and Yucatan Honey. The pie spice is what gives it that perfect fall flavor, while the honey is what caramelizes it all to perfection.
As an added bonus, a dollop of yogurt sweetened with real maple syrup helps cut through the spice and adds a bit of richness that makes you think you’re actually eating dessert. It’s magic.
